2 Days 1 Night Non-Touristy Trek In Mae Tang Area

This trip is for people who looking for a more authentic trek and adventure. 100% guaranteed we will be only one company while we walk and overnight and along the way.

What you’ll do

Day 1
Traveling by truck
You will get pick up by 8.00-8.30 a.m. from the hotel or the guest house where you stay. After get pick up we will be driving up north of Chiang Mai to Mae Tang area. Take about 1.30 hrs. drive and stop at the local market on the way to buy foods. And then we will continue driving to the elephant camp to the elephant camp. We spend time about 1-1.30 hrs. with an elephant. You will get information about the elephant and feed them some foods. You can take photos with them. And then take them to the river and enjoy the bath and brush your elephant.
# Remark: Our elephants have good health, without chain and hook. They are freedom and happiness. We do not use elephants to work or perform. And we enforce a strict NO Riding policy. 

After that we have lunch and relax. We will do about 3 hours trekking through the beautiful jungle to enjoy nature and views. We will continue trekking to Pha Dang village to visit Lahu hill tribe village. You can walk around and the guide will give you information about the culture, lifestyle, and history. There we have private accommodation inside the village. We will have dinner and overnight here. At night we enjoy chatting and playing games with the tour guide.

Day 2
We have breakfast at the camp. After breakfast and relax we will do jungle trail walk about 3 hours with a relaxing break to enjoy nature and visit Black Lahu tribe village. On the way we are walking, we will enjoy swimming at the secluded waterfall (waterfalls is never visited by outsiders before 2009). We finished walking at Shan village. And we have lunch here. After that, we will get pick up and drive to the rafting camp to experience on bamboo rafting along the Mae Tang rive for about 1 hour. And then we will drive about half an hour to  After we change cloth from wet we will return back and arriving at Chiang Mai around 17.30 p.m.
